Action: The ClimateLaunchpad is a climate positive business movement powered by the world’s largest competition for climate entrepreneurs. Since 2015, the ClimateLaunchpad has acted as a catalyst for a growing wave of climate concerned, early-stage entrepreneurs.

Best practice summary: The competition attracts thousands of early-stage business ideas from all over the world and pitches them against each other in a competitive process. The programme consists of a 2-3 day business training boot camp, follow-up coaching sessions over a period of approximately 6 weeks and a national final from which the top teams are selected to attend the Grand Final. The top 15 teams gain access to the Climate-KIC accelerator.

Key ingredients include: 1) Tools and guidance to help partners recruit entrepreneurs in each country around the globe 2) Online course provided free to all entrepreneurs to build their skills & help us narrow in on the best businesses 3) High quality trainers with 200+ years’ experience in providing technical & business support to climate-tech businesses 4) Highly rated curriculum tailored for early-stage entrepreneurs covering all elements of how to build new business 5) Climate specific content allows entrepreneurs to differentiate business ideas from business as usual and 6) Direct link to best-in-class climate focused accelerator with outstanding record of impact.
